Well it had to be done sooner or later – and I figured there’s no better time than now to pit my slick new Windows Phone 7 against an iPhone 3GS and BlackBerry’s all new Torch 9800!
I decided to take the casual, non-scientific approach to this speed test – just to see how the different browsers stack up to one another.
The iPhone has always had a really solid browser, and there’s no denying it’s definitely the best in class at the current moment. Research In Motion (BlackBerry) acquired Torch Mobile a while ago to build their all new BlackBerry OS6 browser – and unsurprisingly – named their latest flagship device after that very company – the BlackBerry Torch 9800.
Microsoft, on the other hand – took bits and pieces of code from Internet Explorer 7/8 and even 9 and built an admirable browser for it’s new Windows Phone 7 operating system – and it only makes sense to see how it stands next to the iPhone and BlackBerry.
So, without further ado – here is my take: Enjoy!
